Post-election adjustment to Real Life continues, as you noticed from the post-free Sunday, so just some clips:
Here's what Bob Dylan had to say Election Night in Minneapolis (yes, it's subtitled for the Dylan impaired; comments are 0:58 in.)
"I was born in 1941. That was the year they bombed Pearl Harbor. I've been living in a world of darkness ever since. But it looks like things are going to change now."
He then plays, NOT "Times They Are A-Changin," but "Blowin In The Wind." Hey, he's Bob freakin' Dylan, he can do what he wants.
For the real political junkies (and if you weren't, then why are you reading this blog?), if you're an Illinois pol, the big deal isn't a president-elect, it's...an open Senate seat! And Rahm's House seat, and maybe Jesse Jr.'s too...
Obama trivia, some of which I hadn't heard: apparantly the prez is a geek for Spiderman and Harry Potter. Maybe the Minister of Magic has a secret talking portrait in the Oval Office.
