Sheriff Pulkrabek Backing Edwards
Sharon Savage of Muscatine County announces for State Senate District 40 (Jim Hahn's seat). She's a bookstore owner, a UI grad, was a social worker and family therapist. Opponent "is a nice man, but we need people who are going to get things done."
No local race endorsements. Parliamentary stuff again.
Team Dodd and Team Biden are here. Dodd in IC 11/6, foreign policy and rule of law speech. Team Biden touts the Storm Lake endorsement. Obama coming through Cedar Rapids on the 6th (all this stuff on local election day!)
Ed Flaherty says replace your obsolete local candidate sign on the morning of Nov. 7 with a SUPPORT THE TROOPS END THE WAR sign (hope those signs are also obsolete soon). Bring your own wire.
Team Hillary and... she's in Amana on... yes! Nov. 6! Aaagh! Richardson coming through Eastern Iowa this weekend but not touching Johnson County.
Tom Carsner for Team Edwards touts the TV buy, the 99 counties, and SEIU (we're in their hall). And Edwards is in town on... Monday the 5th. Edwards also coming in Sunday the 11th for a local candidate fundraiser... and here's our lede... for Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek who is now on board. That's a big get here...
